About Me

Hello there! I'm Augusto, the author of this blog, nice to see you here! 🤓👋

Let me take a moment to introduce myself and share a bit about my background. I graduated in Information Systems from EACH-USP and earned a Master’s degree in Software Engineering from POLI-USP. As a software engineer, I've had the opportunity to actively participate and in several projects.

As a software engineer, I've had the chance to dive into many exciting projects. To name a few, I've worked on developing an Open Finance Platform from scratch, creating a brand-new digital bank, and building a system to manage product customisation sold across Latin America.

Those experiences have helped me build solid skills in various programming languages, frameworks, and software architectures. I specialise in event-driven architectures and microservices (I even wrote my master's thesis on them, titled Guideline for Determining Communication Patterns to be Used in Microservice Systems Built Through the Domain-Driven Design Approach). I'm also really good at object-oriented programming and have extensive knowledge of AWS services.

In my previous roles, I have held positions as Technical Lead and Feature Lead. These roles have helped me develop my leadership skills and improve my ability to balance technical excellence with product and company goals to ensure timely delivery.

Outside of code, I’m a history enthusiast. I love diving into the past, discovering ancient civilisations, and tracing the footsteps of remarkable figures. Whether it’s the pharaohs of Egypt or the Roman Empire, history captivates me. To unwind, I enjoy the challenge of learning new things and I'm currently working my way up to playing the acoustic guitar 🎸.

Thank you for taking the time to get to know me better. I'm thrilled to have the opportunity to share my experiences and insights with you here on my blog.
